Building Value
A Social Enterprise of Easter Seals TriState
 Building Value provides hands-on job training opportunities for individuals with disadvantages and disabilities seeking employment in construction and retail. The enterprise is an extension of Easter Seals TriState's mission to empower individuals with disabilities and disadvantages to achieve a higher quality of life through employment and self-sufficiency.
Building Value LLC is a three-prong business:
- A building materials reuse center
- Light deconstruction services
- Full-structure deconstruction
The enterprise teaches skills in growing industries; it generates revenue to support other Easter Seals TriState programs; and it provides job-training opportunities for people who need work experience.
Each year, Building Value diverts thousands of tons of useable building material from area landfills through deconstruction projects, private materials donations, retail and recycling projects. In addition, hundreds of individuals have received job training in retail and construction to prepare them for the community workforce.
