2008 Tailgate Bash Rocked the Square on August 16

With a Cincinnati-Style Kick off to Tailgating Season, Easter Seals WRC raised more than $130,000

August 16, 2008 brought more than unseasonably mild weather to greater Cincinnati, it brought the 2008 Tailgate Bash. The annual event was a success in more ways than one:

• Tailgate Bash raised more than $130,000 for Easter Seals WRC
• More than 65 volunteers helped staff booths, ran cornhole games and provided event support
• More than 3,000 visitors came to Fountain Square for Tailgate Bash, raising awareness of Easter Seals WRC in the community.

Visitors to Tailgate Bash were treated to a Cincinnati-style event featuring the World Cornhole Championship, Cornhole-athon, live music, cornhole games for the whole family, grilling food favorites, beer from Christian Moerlein and MUCH more.

2008 Tailgate Bash increased revenue by 18% while doubling attendance though the event was shortened by four hours. Beyond that, anyone walking on Fountain Square from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. was drawn into the excitement and experienced Easter Seals WRC mission at work--All the cornhole boards used during Cornhole-athon were built by individuals with disabilities learning job-related skills.
